Dr. Marilyn Loh |
Dr. Marilyn Loh graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 1995. She has been involved in the veterinary field for the past 30 years! With a special interest in dentistry and internal medicine, Dr. Loh always strives to provide the highest quality medical care in a compassionate manner. She has a wonderful daughter, Jocelyn, which many clients know well at the front desk! She also shares her home with 3 quirky cats - Barry, Eggo and Ham, a loveable black lab named Bruce, an adorable little Shih Tzu-Yorkie cross named Bear and a new goofy wire-haired Viszla puppy named Berk! |

Dr. Taryn Cumming has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Burlington area since graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2010. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with specific interests in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. When not in the clinic, Dr. Cumming enjoys photography, travelling and spending time with her husband Andy and 2 daughters! Dr. Cumming is also the proud mom to two long haired dachshunds - Lupo and Sully!
Dr. Cumming joined the dynamic team at East Plains Animal Hospital in April 2013, and is excited to meet new clients and keep their furry family in good health! Dr. Nikki Visconti has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Golden Horseshoe area since graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2011. Dr. Nikki has taken a keen interest in veterinary nutrition, internal medicine, and is our newest resident "cat lady" - loving all things feline! When not in the clinic, Dr. Visconti can be found at the gym in a bootcamp or weight training class, hiking, or spending time with her son Owen and daughter Isla. Dr. Visconti shares her home with her adorable "Froston" - Pippa Grace, and her spicey but sweet kitty Evelyn Marie!

Dr. Lorraine Boyer |
Dr. Lorraine Boyer received her veterinary education at The University of Edinburgh in Scotland and graduated in 2017. She has worked at a number of veterinary clinics in Southwestern Ontario, both as a full-time veterinarian and as a locum. She has a lot of interests within the veterinary field but is particularly passionate about clinical pathology and client education. When not at the clinic, she can be found gardening, listening to podcasts, or spending time with her husband Josh. She has a special love for pocket pets and has two cheeky rabbits at home named George and Juniper. She also shares her home with 2 kitties - Bernard and Clancy, and two Silken Windhounds - Cecil and Matilda!
Dr. Boyer joined the wonderful team at East Plains Animal Hospital in September 2018 and is looking forward to meeting clients and their four-legged companions. |

Denise Jones is our practice manager. Denise has been working in the veterinary industry for over 20 years, and she has played a vital role in helping to build and manage our hospital. Her warm and friendly nature will appeal to our clients as she provides information and answers any questions that you may have. Although her main responsibilities include hospital administration and staff management, she can occasionally be found helping out the receptionists at the front desk! In her free time Denise enjoys spending time with her Chihuahuas Elvis and Presley, and also has a three legged cat named Tripod! |

Kris
Meet Kris! Kris graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Ridgetown College in 2010, and has been working in the Burlington and Niagara area ever since! Kris is a new addition to the East Plains Animal Hospital team in the spring of 2017, and can be found assisting the veterinarians in surgery, caring for our in hospital patients, or hard at work in our in house lab! When shes not looking after our patients, Kris enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and fur babies London - a Bearded Collie puppy, and Logan - a border collie cross!

Courtney
Meet Courtney! Courtney graduated from the Veterinary Technician and Wildlife Rehabilitation program at Northern College in 2019 and has been working in the Burlington area since. Courtney has been a member of the clinic since May of 2019 and has been enjoying every minute of it! Even though Courtney is a new member, she has already taken on the role of running our very own Weight Loss Program! When not helping pets become happier and healthier through losing weight, Courtney can be found in the clinic assisting the Veterinarians however she can and helping the ladies out front from time to time. When Courtney isn’t helping take care of pets in the clinic, she is at home juggling her own circus of 9 animals! Courtney has started her own cats: Winston, Tessa, Storm, and Indiana on the weight loss program, enjoys taking her dogs Tatter and Coby for walks, and playing with her bunny Bubbles outside when the weather is nice. Courtney looks forward to meeting your furbabies in the future!!
Elise
Meet Elise! Elise initially joined the team at East Plains Animal Hospital in December 2015 as part of our client care staff, answering the phones and greeting clients with a smile at the front desk! She has since completed her degree as a Registered Veterinary Technician at Sheridan College, and is now part of our full time Technician team as of April 2021! Elise shares her home with her cockapoo Charlie, who can be seen from time to time running around the clinic! Elise can't wait to care for all of our patients in her new role, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our RVT team!

Dana
Dana has had several years experience within the veterinary field. Her knowledge and ability to transition from reception duties to technician duties is a great asset to East Plains Animal Hospital. Dana is happy to share her home with Wynter the Husky Shepherd cross, Lark the Rottweiler and her 2 rabbits - Peanut and Pinto. Pocket pets hold a special place in Danas heart and you will find that her affection for them gives her the ability to handle them with ease!
Shannon
Meet Shannon! Shannon is a long time member of our dynamic reception team! Shannon has been working with animals for most of her life and shares her home with an american bull-dog puppy - Henry, an adorable orange rescue kitty named Cheeto, and a rescued ferret named "Ferret-Bueller"! In her spare time, Shannon loves spending time with her husband and son. Shannon is looking forward to meeting all of you at your next visit!

Katie
Meet Katie! Katie joined our clinic team in September 2021. Growing up on a hobby farm , her love of animals started early! She's always had a diverse critter crew at home, and has worked with animals for over 15 years!
Currently, Katie shares her home with 3 cats - "Lady" the DSH matriarch, and the inseparable Abyssinian twins "Copper" and "Todd", a 7 year old Cockapoo "Tula" and her 2 human children - Maiya and Kenzie! In the event Katie ever finds herself with spare time again, she would enjoy curling up with a good book, lapping her husband on the go-kart track, or kicking back for a float around the pool! Katie looks forward to chatting with all of our clients and patients soon! |
Elizabeth
Meet Elizabeth! Elizabeth joined our team in September 2022! She is new to the veterinary field, but has 35 years of experience in the optical industry. Due to her love for animals, Elizabeth chose to change fields to veterinary medicine, and we are so happy to have her! She currently shares her home with 2 fur babies - Max the chihuahua and Hamish the cat. In her spare time, you can find Liz camping with her husband Paul and dog Max, drawing, volunteering, or working as a childrens entertainer!
